Her father was the editor of The Olympian newspaper in Washington. After graduating at Tallahassee Florida, she attended Boston University to continue her study. She eventually transferred to Rhodes College in Rhode Island as well as the University of Florida. She has always been interested in the performing arts. She left college in order to relocate to LA to pursue an acting profession. Her first film-related role was in 17 Again from 2009. Then she played the character as Alice McKee as she appeared in Blood: The Last Vampire, a fantasy-action film. She had her major television breakthrough when she played the role of the main character in the series titled Kings in the year 2009.
