Even though this role earned the actress great attention, she still felt the stereotype that Mary Camden being a nice lady would hinder her acting abilities. In order to change the perception, she appeared as a model on Gear cover in a partially dressed. Jessica's fans were enraged by this move. Following her appearance in the 6th season on 7th Heaven, Jessica left. It was her praiseworthy performance as Casey Jackson, a teenage girl in Ulee's Gold that brought her the attention of everyone. This movie won her the prize for best Supporting Female actress. The comedy film Summer Catch bears the proof of her incredible acting abilities. Her production Rules of Attraction did not achieve much success despite her amazing performance. People were then attracted to her role on The Texas Chainshaw Massacre. She's an accomplished actor who has appeared in many suspense films.
